Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
